Budget carrier AirAsia has ordered 100 Airbus A321neos, and will equip the jets with a high-density 240-seat layout.
The airframer has disclosed the purchase at the Farnborough air show.
No engine selection has been given for the aircraft, but AirAsia is a strong CFM International customer.
Its firm agreement takes AirAsia’s overall A320-family orders to 575, of which over 170 have been delivered.
