Airbus is claiming dispatch reliability on the in-service A320neo fleet has reached 99.7%.
The airframer has delivered eight A320neos, with four having gone to IndiGo, and two apiece to Lufthansa and GoAir.
All the aircraft are fitted with Pratt & Whitney PW1100G engines. The powerplants are the subject of a modification programme that has held back deliveries.
But Airbus chief operating officer for customers John Leahy, speaking during the Farnborough air show, said that the limited fleet had achieved dispatch reliability of 99.7%.
The airframer is preparing for the first delivery of an A320neo with the rival CFM International Leap-1A powerplant, due to be handed over to Pegasus Airlines about a week after the show.
Airbus took orders for 75 A320neo-family jets over the first half of 2016, contributing to a net order total for 183 aircraft in the six-month period.
Leahy says that, with the additional deals disclosed at the show, the figure has reached some 200, but acknowledges that the airframer needs “lots of running to catch up” if it is to achieve a book-to-bill above unity this year.
