China's Okay Airways has ordered 10 Boeing 737-800s, for delivery from 2014.
Okay, a privately-owned carrier, disclosed the order at the Farnborough Air Show today.
Chairman Wang Shusheng said the order was a "milestone" for the carrier.
Boeing says the order is the airline's first direct purchase from the airframer.
All 737-800s are powered by CFM International CFM56 engines.
