Bell Helicopter Textron pulled out all the stops to make sure a production 427 light twin made its public debut at Farnborough, officials said at the show.
"That's the importance we place on this airshow," says senior executive marketing director Jeff Pino. "Out of the 75 orders we have for this aircraft, Europe has the largest number of commitments. Europe has helped us launch the 427 and we were determined to be here."
Bell says the first delivery to a customer will likely take place early next year at the Helicopter Association International show in Dallas.
