Eaton Corporation has been chosen to provide conveyance products for Airbus's new A350 XWB aircraft through to 2017, according to the manufacturer.

It will supply pneumatic couplings, flanges and seals to secure ducts in the aircraft's environmental control systems.

Eaton says its components support cabin safety and air quality and have a single-joint design to help reduce weight.

Andy Weeks, general manager of Eaton's conveyance systems division, says: "We're pleased to provide component support to Airbus for all variants of the A350 XWB platform that will improve aircraft performance and also reduce overall aircraft weight to increase fuel efficiency."

Components for the A350 XWB will be manufactured at Eaton's aerospace facility in Beltsville, USA.
