Elbit Systems (H1/C14) has unveiled an advanced version of its CockpitNG next-generation cockpit for fighter and training aircraft, helicopters and airlifters.
The new and improved CockpitNG design comprises a large-area display, a low-profile head-up display and Elbit's Targo helmet-mounted avionics system.
The Israeli company says that new applications are projected on all elements of the CockpitNG, displaying all relevant data while hiding irrelevant information to prevent pilot overload.
Elbit says that in the new enhanced version, the high quality, touch-screen large-area display offers a unique concept of operation, enabling pilots to personalise their displays, applications and information with the sweep of a finger, according to specific mission requirements.
"The new capabilities provide pilots with enhanced situational awareness and mission management, reduce pilot workload and support successful achievement of mission goals in all weather conditions," says Elbit.
