Hawker Beechcraft is strengthening its customer support offering in the Asia-Pacific with the appointment of Steve Porte as vice-president, international support at its headquarters in Hong Kong.

The airframer has also added $3 million in critical spare parts in Beijing, Hong Kong and Singapore to support the growing fleet of business jets, turboprops and piston engine aircraft across the region.

"Hawker Beechcraft is focused on meeting the demand in Asia," said Justin Firestone, the company's president, Asia-Pacific region, at the show. "Bringing customer support leadership into the region and making additional spare parts readily available are two important steps. We are better able to respond to customer demands within the Asia-Pacific time zone and business day with a diverse group of experienced HBC factory staff that are multi-lingual and multicultural."
