Qantas-Vietnam Airlines joint-venture carrier Jetstar Pacific has tentatively committed to another 10 Airbus A320s.
The airline has signed a memorandum of understanding for the aircraft, the airframer disclosed during the Farnborough air show.
No engine selection has been given but its current A320-family fleet is fitted with International Aero Engines V2500 powerplants.
Airbus says the pact, if firmed, would mark the carrier’s first direct purchase of aircraft with the manufacturer.
Jetstar Pacific chief Le Hong Ha says the deal will enable the carrier to expand its international services from Vietnam.
