Danish lessor Nordic Aviation Capital has firmly ordered 25 ATR 42-600s, taking options on a further 50.
Deliveries will start in 2015 and run through to 2020, says the manufacturer at the Farnborough air show today.
The Airbus Group-Alenia Aermacchi joint venture characterises the orders as as a "response to operator demand" and as recognition that "the replacement market for 50-seat turboprops is very underserved".
The deal solidifies NAC's position as ATR's largest customer, adds the airframer.
