Vietnam Airlines has signed a long-term fleet-management agreement with Pratt & Whitney Global Service Partners that covers the carrier's PW4090 engines.

The 10-year agreement has been disclosed at the Farnborough air show.

Vietnam Airlines' P&W-powered fleet includes Airbus A330s and Boeing 777s. The engine manufacturer says the deal is its first fleet-management programme pact with the carrier.

"As an established OEM, we are confident that Pratt & Whitney's experience and flexibility will enhance our operations," adds Vietnam Airlines chief Pham Ngoc Minh.
