Gentex doesn't make just any helmet. This is an ensemble providing tactical aircrew with nuclear, biological and Chemical (NBC) protection.

It is now being showcased by American-based Gentex, a specialist in the supply of integrated military life support systems, at the show (Hall 3, Stand A8).

The helmet forms a semi-closed boundary around the wearer's face, head, neck and shoulders and comprises a helmet, face shield and skirt assembly.

"It is a fully integrated system that gives aircrew in a chemical or biological environment all the necessary protection," says Robert McGay, vice-president and general manager of respiratory products at Gentex. "It can prevent contamination of the eyes, skin and respiratory tract."
