Lockheed Martin and the US Coast Guard took a new C-130J up for a photo sortie over the Wright memorial at Kitty Hawk and suddenly noticed some strange coincidences...(cue "dee-dee-dee"-type scary music from The Twilight Zone). The aircraft was one of six C-130Js destined for the USCG, the first of which - Number 2001 - flew on 17 December 2001, the 99th anniversary of the fabled Wright Brothers controlled powered flight. The 100th C-130J is the one that flew over the memorial in 2003. Lockheed Martin is delivering aircraft number 2003 in 2003. The 100th C-130J will be delivered in the 100th year of aviation.

(That's enough trumped-up coincidences - Ed)
