Regionals will probably serve as feeders for low-cost carriers despite the abrupt end this summer of an agreement in which Air Wisconsin's 50-seat Bombardier CRJs fed AirTran Airways at Atlanta Hartsfield from late 2002. Air Wisconsin president Geoff Crowley says the privately held carrier is looking for another opportunity. He explains: "We learned that if you are operating in the same markets with a low-cost carrier, it is hard to price the two products differently."
