Lockheed Martin sees "no near-term announcements of significance" from Eastern European air arms seeking replacement fighter aircraft.

At a briefing at the show, Dain Hancock, president of Lockheed Martin Tactical Aircraft Systems, said economic constraints on nations such as Poland and the Czech Republic meant that they were still going through a protracted evaluation process.

Both nations have been looking for Western front-line equipment for some years, but no clear direction is yet apparent from their governments.
