Finmeccanica last week completed the acquisitions of Marconi Mobile from UK group Marconi and Telespazio from Italian Telecom and expects to conclude a deal for Aermacchi by year-end.

Finmeccanica paid €614 million ($606 million) for Marconi Mobile, including €43 million of debt, while Telespazio cost €240 million, including €113 million debt. The company acquired Marconi's military communications branch only, taking a purchase option on the public mobile radio and private mobile radio units which expires on 31 October next year.
