Finnair has rolled out full-flat business class seats across the majority of its long-haul Airbus A330 and A340 fleet.
The Zodiac-made 'Vantage' seat is already installed on the airline's four latest A330s. But the Nordic carrier has now revealed that it will equip eight other aircraft in its 15-strong long-haul fleet with the premium class seat in 2014.
Three aircraft will not be updated, having been earmarked for replacement by the A350s that are due to be introduced in the second half of 2015, says Finnair.
The refurbishment programme - worth around €29 million ($39 million) - is set to begin in January 2014 and will be completed in the autumn of that year.
It follows a cabin and service revamp initiative with new tableware and catering, which began in October.
Finnair has ordered 11 A350-900s and taken options for eight additional aircraft.
