NetJets Europe has taken delivery of its 100th aircraft since operations began in 1996, a Hawker 800XP. The latest delivery brings to 27 the number of 800XPs operated by the London, UK-based company, the largest business jet operator in Europe. Thirty new aircraft with an estimated value of $450 million are scheduled for delivery this year. Four years ago NetJets had a base of 16 jets and 89 clients. Now it says its customers number more than 1,000, with over 400 new customers added in the last year alone.” NetJets’ challenge is to recruit around 100 pilots for a new tranche of business jets within the highly competitive marketplace, it says. NetJets posted an operating profit – a net profit before interest costs on aircraft are taken into account – and is expected to record a net profit in 2007.
