The first Galaxy business jet to fly, in December, will be aircraft No 3, rolled out on 4 September. It will be followed by one further flying prototype and two test airframes (Nos 1 and 2), with aircraft No 5 being the first customer machine, to be delivered in 1999. Galaxy fuselages up to No 13 will be built by Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI), after which they (along with French-built empennages), will be built and delivered fully assembled, wired, stuffed and pressure-tested by Aerospatiale subsidiary Sogerma. Production should reach two/month by 1999.
