Piaggio has delivered the first P180 Avanti II, to a Swiss private customer.

AVANTI

The aircraft will be operated as a corporate aircraft from Lugano airport by Fly Wings. Lugano’s runway is only 1,145m (3,756ft) long at an altitude of 900ft and requires a steep approach procedure to landing due to high terrain close to the airport. The Avanti II meets this requirement even in its current configuration, which lacks the more powerful Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6-66B engines that will be installed on later aircraft. The aircraft is pictured wearing the Ferrari insignia and Italian markings in which it appeared at recent air shows.
