First South African Super Lynx 300 helicopter debuts at Paris

The first AgustaWestland Super Lynx 300 helicopter for South Africa paid a visit to the show last week, before being delivered to the Ysterplaat air force base. The country ordered four of the marinised helicopters in 2003, all of which are due to be handed over in July. They will be operated by the South African Air Force on behalf of the navy, and deployed on Valour-class frigates in the anti-surface warfare, maritime patrol and search and rescue roles.
