Lithuania's FL Technics plans to more than treble the number of its line maintenance stations in Europe by 2012 as part of a $25 million investment programme.
The company, which currently operates nine line maintenance stations, says it plans to expand its network to a total of 30 stations by 2012.
"The main directions of our development are regional airports in Poland, Italy, Sweden, Norway and CIS countries with annual capacity of more than 500,000 passengers and without a local MRO base," says FL Technics chief executive Jonas Butautis.
FL Technics' existing network of line maintenance stations includes facilities in Italy, Turkey, Lithuania, Russia, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
The company says that Lithuania's "cheaper labour market" enables it to offer customers "the best price for European quality".
