Embraer delivered 11 E-Jets in the first quarter, and added orders for two E175s during the period.
The Brazilian manufacturer handed over 10 E175s and one E190-E2. Analysis of Embraer's orders and deliveries showed that it delivered one E175 to Japan's Suzuyo, seven E175s to American Airlines, one E175 to Mauritania Airlines and one E175 to SkyWest. The single E190-E2 was delivered to AerCap.
Mauritania's E175 is the first of the variant delivered to the African continent, says Embraer. The airline has on order a second E175, from an order signed in 2018.
During the first quarter, Embraer added orders for two E175s from an undisclosed customer, an analysis of its firm orders shows.
AerCap also switched an E190-E2 to the E195-E2 during the quarter. The lessor now holds orders for three E190-E2s and 45 E195-E2s. It has already received two E190-E2s, which are in service with Air Astana, Cirium's Fleets Analyzer shows.
In April, Nigeria's Air Peace signed an order for 10 E195-E2s, with purchase rights for an additional 20 aircraft. Embraer says it will include this order in its second quarter backlog.
Embraer ended the first quarter with a firm order backlog of 359 E-Jets, comprising 196 E175s, seven E190s, three E195s, 41 E190-E2s and 112 E195-E2s.
In the first quarter, Embraer also delivered 11 executive jets, comprising two Phenom 100s, six Phenom 300s, one Legacy 650 and two Legacy 500s.
Embraer ended the period with a firm order backlog of $16 billion.
