Vietnamese low-cost operator VietJet Air has signed a memorandum of understanding to take an additional 50 Airbus A321neo aircraft.
Announced at the Farnborough air show today, the deal increases the carrier’s A320-family backlog to 129 narrowbodies, comprising 123 A321neo and six A321ceo aircraft, Airbus states.
The agreement comes a day after VietJet signed an MoU with Boeing for 100 737 Max jets.
VietJet has an all-Airbus in-service fleet, Flight Fleets Analyzer shows, featuring 51 A320-family jets.
