The aircraft, powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines, is leased from Dubai’s DAE Capital.

It is the first to be taken by DAE which has two of the type on order with the European airframer.
Fiji Airways is to use the A350 on its routes from Nadi to Los Angeles and Sydney.
It is configured with a two-class interior, featuring 33 lie-flat business seats and 301 economy-class seats – of which 39 feature additional personal space.
Fiji Airways already operates Airbus A330s – five -200s and a -300 – as well as Boeing 737s.
