New Italian national carrier ITA Airways has released an image of the first aircraft to feature its livery.
The Airbus A320 – registration EI-DTE – is a 12-year-old ex-Alitalia example that is leased from ORIX Aviation, according to Cirium fleets data.
The all-new blue livery features the colours of the Italian flag on the tail.
The aircraft is pictured after emerging from a paintshop at Ostrava airport in the Czech Republic. Data from flight-tracking website Flightradar24 suggests the narrowbody is due to fly from Ostrava to Rome Fiumicino airport on the evening of 23 December.
ITA began services in October after predecessor Alitalia ceased flights.
The carrier is utilising various assets acquired from Alitalia, including aircraft, slots and contracts, but also recently outlined plans to take dozens more jets.
