Lebanon’s Middle East Airlines has emerged as the customer for another four Airbus A321neos, taking its total order for the type to 15.
The airline had originally ordered 10 A320neo-family jets – split equally between the A320neo and A321neo – but subsequently converted all of them to the larger variant.
MEA ordered another A321neo in December 2017, taking its firm commitment to 11.
But Airbus’s latest backlog revision shows that MEA was the previously-unidentified customer behind an order for four additional A321neos.
MEA is also taking four A330neo twinjets, all of which will be the -900 model.
