Middle Eastern budget carrier Air Arabia has unveiled an updated livery to mark 15 years of operations.
The airline unveiled the new scheme, which retains the baseline colours of the company, during a ceremony at its Sharjah base.
It painted one of its Airbus A320s – the airframe A6-AOS, delivered last year – in the revamped livery for the event, but it has also shown off illustrations of the design as it will appear on its A321neo fleet.
The design inverts the colours of the vertical fin’s previous white-on-red seagull logo, expanding its wings to reflect the airline’s growth, and carries larger titles on the forward fuselage.
This “simple, versatile” identity is intended to highlight the airline’s “modern nomads” passenger demographic, the carrier adds.
Air Arabia carried out its first flight on 28 October 2003 and, in the subsequent 15 years, has expanded to cover a network of more than 150 routes with a fleet of 53 Airbus jets.
