Air Tanzania’s first Boeing 787 has arrived in the east African carrier’s base, after it took delivery of the twinjet.
Boeing has confirmed the delivery of the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000-powered 787-8 (below).
The airframer lists the Tanzanian government, rather than the airline, as having ordered the aircraft (5H-TCG) in December 2016.
It landed at Dar es Salaam on 8 July following a ferry flight from Seattle.
Air Tanzania is also a customer of the Bombardier CS300 – now under Airbus control – and operates a small fleet of regional turboprops.
