Indonesian carrier Lion Air has taken delivery of its first Airbus A330-900.
Lion Air has leased the twinjet from BOC Aviation and will introduce a further nine A330neos into its fleet, Airbus says.
The airline is the first A330neo operator based in the Asia Pacific region.
Configured for 436 passengers in a single-class layout, the aircraft will deployed for pilgrimage flights from Makassar, Balikpapan and Surabaya to Jeddah and Medina in Saudi Arabia, Airbus says.
