Israeli flag-carrier El Al’s latest Boeing 787-9, an aircraft which has been painted in a retro livery, has been ferried to the airline’s Tel Aviv base.
The twinjet (4X-EDF) arrived at around 08:50 on 14 August, following a flight from Seattle.

El Al’s delivery takes its 787 fleet to six aircraft, all powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines.
Earlier this month the airline signed a loan agreement, through a special-purpose company, with an unidentified foreign bank for around $125 million.
This loan, it said, was being used to cover the purchase of a 787-9 due for delivery in August. El Al says the loan is guaranteed by UK Export Finance.
Boeing
The scheme applied to the 787 dates from the 1960s to commemorate the carrier’s 70th anniversary. Cabin crew wore period uniforms from the 60s era to mark the delivery of the "retrojet" (above).
