The first Lion Air Airbus A330-900 made its maiden flight on 27 June.
The jet (MSN 1926) took off from Toulouse Blagnac International airport at 10:54 local time on a 4h 20min test flight mission, and landed at 15:14 local time, data from FlightRadar24 shows.
The jet is configured with 440 seats and will be capable of flying up to 15h nonstop, including operating pilgrimage flights from cities in eastern Indonesia such as Balikpapan, Makassar, and Surabaya to points in Saudi Arabia like Madinah and Jeddah, it adds.
Cirium's Fleets Analyzer shows that the first A330-900 Lion Air will receive bears the registration PK-LEI, and is scheduled to be delivered in September.
