Chinese carrier Lucky Air has taken delivery of the first of 90 Boeing 737 Max aircraft on order with lessor SMBC Aviation Capital.
The Chinese airline will operate the aircraft on lease, according to a Tweet from Boeing. It adds that it is “looking forward to delivering 89 more to you, SMBC Aviation Capital.”

The aircraft, a 737 Max 8, bears registration B-1143. Flight Fleets Analyzer indicates that is the third 737 Max 8 to enter service with the carrier. All three are equipped with 189 economy class seats.
Lucky Air took its first 737 Max 8 in early November, when it received an aircraft managed by GECAS.
Based in Kunming, Lucky Air has a fleet of 53 aircraft comprising the three Max 8s as well as 22 737-800s, 11 737-700s, 11 Airbus A320ceo family jets, two A320neos, and four A330-300s.
