Indian carrier Vistara has selected CFM International Leap-1As for its order of 13 Airbus A320neos.
The engine-maker values the deal, which includes 26 engines and a long-term overhaul support agreement, at about $2.4 billion.
As part of the deal, Vistara has selected CFM to maintain the Leap engines. It inked a long-term Rate Per Flight Hour agreement for the maintenance of 120 Leap engines that power its fleet of Airbus A320neo family aircraft, currently in service or on order.
With this order, Vistara’s entire fleet of A320neo family aircraft will be Leap-powered.
Cirium fleets data indicates that the airline operates 11 A320neos, all powered by Leap engines. Another 25 A320neos and six A321neos, all on order through lessors, will also be Leap-powered.
Vistara also operates 13 A320ceos, along with nine Boeing 737-800s.
