Flight International launched the new Aviation Excellence Awards on 22 February, recognising achievement in the operational sector, at a prestigious ceremony at Raffles Hotel in Singapore.
Around 230 guests watched front line staff from all over the world collect their trophies. The winners were drawn from cockpit-crew and cabin-crew serving with airlines, air forces, and corporate aviation. Flight International also played host to a new award launched by Boeing – the Student Engineer of the Year Award.
A standing ovation for an Air France crew who performed a heroic evacuation was among the highlights of the evening.
