The Association of Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) and Flight International magazine have announced a partnership to establish the most comprehensive programme of conferences and exhibitions ever created for the unmanned systems community.

Building on successful established events, including Flight International's UAV Asia-Pacific conference in Australia and AUVSI's Unmanned Systems annual symposium in the USA, the partners will launch new events in Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific during the next two years.

The two existing events will be branded Unmanned Systems Asia-Pacific and Unmanned Systems North America. Future events will carry similar branding.

Exhibitors will be offered discounts for participation in multiple events and AUVSI members and Flight International subscribers will be eligible for further discounts.

Announcing the deal at Asian Aerospace, AUVSI president Dewar Donnithorne-Tait said: "This is an unprecedented programme to deliver conference and exhibition services to the unmanned systems community in many locations around the world. In cooperation with Flight International we will be providing value-for-money service and truly taking this community to new levels."

Flight International group editor Kieran Daly adds: "Flight International has been at the forefront of recognising the evolution of the UAV world from a niche activity to the thriving mainstream business it is today.

"We are enormously excited by its growth prospects and thrilled to be teaming with the world's most prestigious UAV industry association.

"We are absolutely committed to providing a series of first-class events around the world to give the unmanned systems community the public platform it needs."
