FlightSafety Services will receive $474 million to provide logistics support to the US Air Force and US Navy fleet of Hawker Beechcraft T-6 Texan II primary training aircraft until December 2017. The services are to acquire a combined total of 769 T-6s. n Boeing has received an almost $52 million contract to include the Canadian Forces within the US Air Force-dominated sustainment partnership for the C-17 strategic transport. Ottawa will receive four of the aircraft from later this year, following earlier export customers Australia and the UK. n Boeing is to provide 10 training system airframes by September 2009 to support operations of the US Navy's T-45 Goshawk carrier trainers. BAE Systems will receive 42% of the $265 million award.
