The US Air Force has awarded a $2.74 million payment to Spaceport Florida Authority (SFA), formally handing over the Air Force launch pad 46 at Cape Canaveral to SFA for use by commercial launcher companies. SFA has funding from the space industry and the state of Florida (Flight International, 11-17 January).
