Flybe is closing its "Rewards4all" frequent-flyer programme and will join the IAG-owned Avios scheme on 27 October.
The UK regional airline's chief executive Saad Hammad says the decision to close down Rewards4all came after a review "determined a better customer proposition existed, and the clear choice was Avios".
Existing members of Rewards4all will be able to earn points until 9 January 2015, and need to use their existing points by 31 March for flights booked and flown by 31 October 2015.
Avios operates the global Avios loyalty currency for the British Airways Executive Club, Iberia Plus and Meridiana Club frequent-flyer programmes, as well as the Avios Travel Rewards programmes in the UK and South Africa.
