Flydubai is launching a 12-passenger business class cabin as the Dubai-based budget carrier aims to broaden its product offering from October this year.
Flydubai's business class cabin is configured with 12 seats finished in soft Italian leather with lumbar support and a seat pitch of 42 inches.
Business seats will be fitted with in-flight entertainment systems, while travellers will be offered a selection of cold light food and accompaniments on short flights, and the choice of a three-course meal from a specially designed Halal menu on flights of 90 minutes and above.
The carrier will also offer business class lounge services.
Business class passengers will benefit from Flydubai's priority check-in, and passengers will have access to priority baggage collection upon arrival at their destination.
The airline plans to start business and economy classes flights in October.
The first dual class configuration 737-800 is scheduled for delivery in August. All new aircraft subsequently delivered will include business and economy classes.
"The introduction of business class will provide greater choice for our passengers, who will have access to faster check-in services, comfortable and spacious seating and can enjoy a variety of internationally -inspired menus during their journey," says Flydubai's chief executive officer Ghaith Al Ghaith.
The airline will launch a new catering option for economy class customers, in the near future.
"Flydubai's agility and flexibility has been an integral part of our young airline's journey since its launch four years ago. We are committed to innovation and expanding the range of services on offer for both our business and leisure travellers," says Al Ghaith.
