Israel has approved the operation of the world's first airborne casino. Gambling is due to take place on a converted and leased Air Atlanta Boeing 747-300. The aircraft is scheduled to fly three times a week from Tel Aviv on 4h flights outside Israeli airspace, to skirt a betting ban. Investors say that negotiations with Israel Aircraft Industries division Bedek for the 230-seat configuration are now well advanced.
