FRAKES AVIATION DISPLAYED a Turbo-Mallard amphibian at Paris to gauge demand to place the 17-passenger aircraft back in production. Texas-based Frakes owns the design rights to the Grumman-developed Mallard and has re-engine 12 of 59 aircraft already built with Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A turboprops. The company sees a market for some 150 aircraft over ten to 20 years.
