France's Dyn'Aero flew its four-seat MCR-4S kit aircraft for the first time late last month. The all-composite aircraft will be offered with a choice of the 75kW (100hp) Rotax 912S or turbocharged 914 engines, providing a cruise speed of 145kt (270km/h) at 65% power.

The MCR-4, which has a useful load of 400kg (880lb) and a maximum take-off weight of 750kg, will be priced at Fr285,000 ($40,000). The aircraft will be targeted at the USA where, unlike Europe, four-seat kit aircraft are legally permitted to fly. It may be sold through Dyn'Aero's affiliate in Orlando, Florida. First deliveries of the aircraft are planned for early next year. The Darois-based company also produces the two-seat MCR-01 "Banbi", of which it has sold nearly 200 examples.
