Etihad Crystal Cargo plans to purchase five cargo aircraft and is evaluating Boeing’s 777F and the proposed freighter version of the Airbus A330-200. The cargo arm of Etihad Airways began operations in September 2004 and currently operates two Airbus A300-600Fs and one Airbus A310-300F. It holds a 33.7% stake in European cargo operator Cargolux.
