FLIGHTSAFETY BOEING (FSB) has placed additional simulators for the Boeing Next Generation 737 into service in training centres in the USA, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Over the past few weeks, FSB has received new certifications for 737-700/800 simulators at its centres in Atlanta, Georgia; Inchon, South Korea; Palma de Mallorca, Spain, and London Gatwick, UK.

A second 737-700/800 simulator will be operational at Palma by year-end, followed in the second quarter of next year by the Atlanta centre's second 737NG device. A 737-700/800 simulator will also be installed in the company's London Luton training centre, which is to open next March.

FSB, meanwhile, has ordered a 737NG desktop maintenance trainer from CAE Electronics for its Seattle training hub.

The FlightSafety/Boeing joint venture is also continuing to expand its network of centres through partnerships with airlines. An FSB-owned Boeing MD-80 simulator is now operational in AeroMexico's Mexico City training centre.
