The first Gulfstream G450 business jet to enter UK charter market will be operated by  London Executive Aviation (LEA).
The jet will be delivered to the UK’s largest executive aircraft charter operator in the third quarter of 2009. Once in service, the G450 will expand the range of LEA service, and customers can reach as far as Chicago, Dubai and New Delhi.

"Gulfstream represents the pinnacle of business aviation and we are very pleased to be first in the UK to offer a G450 for charter," said George Galanopoulos, managing director of LEA. "Its large cabin, long range and all-round excellence will make it very attractive to customers requiring the most accomplished aircraft.”

The G450 will be configured to carry up to 14 passengers. It has a maximum range of 8,050km (4,350nm), maximum cruising altitude of 45,000ft (13,700m) and a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.88.

The aircraft’s cabin will feature three seating zones and full communications package.

The G450 has been ordered directly from the factory by property entrepreneur Andreas Panayiotou, chairman of The Ability Group and a long-standing LEA aircraft owner.

He said: “The Gulfstream will bring a lot of value to my business as we expand internationally, but it will be important to ensure a high level of third party charter income."
