Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) has begun ground-testing the Galaxy Business Jet at the company's Tel Aviv site, and plans to begin engine runs early in December. Galaxy Aerospace, the IAI/Pritzker joint venture, says: "The first flight before the end of the year remains an ambitious target but an achievable one." The second flight-test aircraft will be flown in the first quarter of 1998, followed by static and fatigue-test articles. US certification is planned in the fourth quarter of 1998, with first customer deliveries scheduled for 1999.
