Europe's space industry has committed to provide €200 million ($180 million) funding for development of the Galileo satellite navigation system in a memorandum of understanding with the European Commission. Service and equipment suppliers and space system manufacturers will meet in June to finalise details. The deal is expected to pave the way for approval by European transport ministers in April.
