Russian carrier Gazpromavia has put its long-range version of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 into service, the first commercial operation with the variant.
The carrier operated aircraft 95033 between Moscow Vnukovo and the Siberian city of Khanty-Mansiysk on 4 March, says the airframer's marketing arm Superjet International.
Gazpromavia has 10 of the long-range Superjet 100LRs on order.
Its aircraft are being configured with 90 seats in an all-economy layout. Superjet International says the twinjets, fitted with an increased-thrust version of the PowerJet SaM146, have a range of nearly 2,500nm.
