General Electric plans to complete its acquisition of Greenwich Air Services on 2 September after gaining approval from the US competition authorities. The final part of the take-over is due to fall into place later next month when shareholders of UNC vote on whether to accept the prior offer from Greenwich, which would then see it too absorbed into GE. GE is acquiring Greenwich through a combination of shares and cash valued at $530 million, with an additional cash price of $345 million for UNC.
