General Electric has finalised a contract to supply up to 400 CT7-8L turboshafts to power the eight-engined CargoLifter CL-160 heavylift airship. Deliveries begin in 2003, for a first flight in 2004, and the deal is potentially worth $500 million over 10 years, including spares and maintenance services.

American Airlines has placed a conditional order for up to 100 units of ZeroAvia’s ZA2000RJ hydrogen fuel cell powertrain, while also deepening its investment in the advanced propulsion developer through participation in the company’s Series C fundraising round.
The company’s board of directors on 30 June approved a new employment contract for Culp that extends his term as CEO and board chair until the end of 2027.
